poor Zoe...
not sure what is wrong with her... last night she had HORRIBLE gas.
worst ever.
she got up overnight and had what sounded like liquid poop - i could hear it from the deck, but it was dark and im not sure exactly where in the yard she was.
today, karen came home to a poopy bloody mess in their kennel.
it was nasty.
she took 3 sorta poops outside, we grabbed a sample and got it to the vet to be checked. we have an 11:40 appt tomorrow to see what it going on.
the amount of blood downstairs was a lot in my book, but she is one to eat poop if its in the cage, so she may have eaten and then thrown it back up... so im not sure i trust the quantity i thought I saw.
she seems just fine otherwise. havent seen her eat yet this afternoon though...
anyway, next weekend is the same weekend that we got a diagnosis on Lola last year.... ... I cant handle another sick dog, not like that. Hoping its just a little bug.

A few weeks ago, Ace had the liquid poops really bad also.
It was more like constant soup, you could tell he was just miserable.
I can sympathize with ya. The amount of poop that can come out of their behinds is downright shocking at times.
The vet couldn't find anything wrong with him, it took awhile, but he's finally back to his good 'ol solid poops. Who knows why....
I hope Zoe feels better soon, it really is probably just a bug.
Let us know how it goes! Zoe |

| I'm so sad to read about the problems Zoe has been having. You are smart to take her to the vet to have it checked out; hope everything turns out fine! |

Chris, don't panic. Hopefully it is just an upset stomach. Maybe give her just some plain boiled chicken and rice until it solids up. Please let us know what the vet says.
Come on Zoe, don't scare Mommy and Daddy so much. |

| If she is that bad with watery poop you may need to fast her for a couple of meals. That will give her digestive tract a rest. |

our vet is convinced its just colitis... seems to be calming down today.
we have had her on rice only since yesterday afternoon.
we have meds for her now... if she isnt clear by monday we are supposed to call back.
will keep yall posted.
thanks for the support... generally a bit of colitis isnt a big deal, but the timing of this one just sucks.
sure do appreciate you guys! |
