We've only had Daisee a little while, and while not perfect, she has had zero bad habits! I was so surprised and happy! Not that I didn't realize it couldn't last forever, but dang ---they bad habits start all in one afternoon? We got rid of our white leather furniture and have just had recliners for the last 5 or so days. Today we brought in 2 older couches, ones that we'll be ok with if she decides to eat the corners or pee on the cushion, or some of the other cute and wonderful things she could choose. She must have sent in her evil twin after this morning's first potty run, 'cause she came straight in the house and put both of her feet up on the bed (she's not allowed.) This dog doesn't even know how to go up stairs! We told her down, took her to the kitchen and went about our morning. I watched a friend's 3 year old (I have a 2 and 3 year old) today, and Daisee was good w/them all day. The little girl left this afternoon and all was well until we brought the new couches in about an hour ago. She suddenly thought she'd take a cracker from my daughter's hand (she's never done this), then she began "skimming" all the humans in the house sniffing for "something." Hubby went to get a sandwich and she hopped up on the couch twice as he was on his way to the kitchen. She finally hopped down, but she went straight over to the table and surfed my broccoli and grated cheese! I was right there so she got nothing but a no. She went right back and hopped on the couch, looked at hubby as he got up to get her off, and then she got down before he reached her. A few minutes later she laid down and is now sleeping. SHE HAS NEVER DONE ANY OF THESE THINGS BEFORE TODAY!! I laugh because she fits right in with the kids, but all at once? What happened to my angel I was secretly sniggering about when friends moan and gripe about their "wayward children"? I did expect some bad habits, but not all so quickly! I think it's great on one hand, because she is comfortable and knows this is her home--she was very introverted when we first got her, unsocialized and not well raised up to that point. On the other hand, what happened today? |

She's getting comfortable in her new home.
Just stay on top of her. I don't think she will change all that much. They all test. |

| I think Linkin and Daisee are of an age too. Wow! I think she flipped her lid! I'll stay on her and see how everything goes. I read the Linkin post a while back, too. We'll see what today brings.... |

Linkin is 4 1/2 months old. Up until about a week ago he has been super easy to train. Don't get me wrong - he still does the normal puppy stuff, but nothing compared to some of the things I have been reading about on here.
He has currently developed a habit of table/counter surfing and has become quite the jumper. We're working with him on this, but it is annoying. When he gets too out of hand I do a controlled down with him and he usually settles down right away.
I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! |

Count me in! Logan is 5 months old (yesterday) and he wasted no time entering adolescence! Counter surfing, jumping... grabbing things... ahhh, gotta love it.
Someday he's gonna be such a good boy |

| I'm going through the same thing too my girl is 5 months and she has started to get sneaky about it now though. Good thing I'm done with school so I can keep her in check all the time. |

| I know it's a prelude to the near future...I was just shocked that it all happened in the span of one day! Like BnB wrote---someday...maybe? Gotta love 'em tho. Even when they're full of the devil they're the best of the best! |

That is my favorite thing to say. Just maybe one day we will be a big girl and sick of tearing things up. I thought that just maybe it would have happened by her second birthday. |
