So I had a little rant two days ago about my neighbours being back and how annoying their little unofficial daycare kids are. Running around screaming all day and leaving behind garbage and little toys on our shared front yard. Its a very small yard, we each have our own section but its not closed off. Its probably 10 feet wide and about 20 long, so half of that is ours, not very big.
Anyways, today, she crossed the line. They put PESTICIDE on her lawn. I have NO idea how far the pesticide was applied, and worse, now there will be kids running around her grass and then mine, spreading around pesticide?
I am flipping out. She knows we have a puppy! Worse, she now also has a 6-week-old Bulldog (so cute!) puppy that she watches for her relatives during the day.
I am so outraged. She obviously doesn't know or care for the lawn boundaries with her kids, so in the same logic, I am now pissed that my lawn may now have traces of pesticides.
I've read of cases of dogs dying for pesticide poisoning!
We take Benji out in the front yard several times a day, he's a puppy so he needs to pee often and everytime, we are out there.
I am now, for sure, going to have a few words with her.
K, rant over.

OH MY ....!
Tell her all of the above! What nerve. Can you call and report her now. She is endangering the lives of several kids, and animals.
Please keep us posted.
...give me her number, I'll give it to her . |

When I was little I had the worlds UGLIEST dog... LOL He was a German Short Haired pointer mixed with something (but he looked like a cow.. black head, white body.. black spots... damn he was ugly LOL)
Anyhow, our neighbors poisoned him with pesticides... I awoke to find my dog coughing up blood, urinating blood ~ real lethargic and I woke my parents up as I was only ten at the time, and we took him in to the emergency vet and had to put him to sleep as he ended up with internal bleeding as a result of everything.
I would definitely call on this woman. Shes putting many lives at risk, including little Benjis |

My little sister is friends with the neighbour's daughter and she is always outside with her. Today she came in and told me that the neigbour originally asked the pesticide people to only do the backyard but they had done the front yard too. Its obviously a hassle for her as well cause her daycare kids have been playing in the front yard and so has her little puppy. So now that I know that, I don't know if I should say something. If it was a mistake, it was a mistake but it still sucking big time. We are just taking Benji out in the backyard but we were doing so good at potty training him to only go in the front yard and not the back. We don't want the backyard to turn into a doggie toilet.
Ugh, crappy neighours! |

Are they renting or is the place theirs? If it's a rental, I would call the landlord asap and tell them that you will be calling the SPCA because of the pesticides and the small dog. I don't care if it was accidental or not, I would not take chances with my dog. Think of those kids too, being exposed to the pesticides!! I would also call Social Services and tell them about it. She is endangering those children.
This would drive me crazy and I would not stand for it. My husband says I am like a pitbull when I am angry and he's probably right, but no one messes with my kids or my dogs. I would do whatever it takes to fix this situation. |

Exactly. Mother Lion right here as well. Don't mess with my family, dogs included. I would definitely say something. It's not fair to those children or to the animals around. Maybe post a sign out there so all the parents that come pick up their kids can see what their kids are exposed to. |

Is it a legally licensed daycare? I highly doubt that the local SPCA will do anything for you (they can't do anything in OBVIOUS abuse cases), BUT call CPS or social services regarding her daycare and pesticides..... |
