Fur Kids: Used to have Sophie - Weimaraner

to the local middle school. It was really windy and a nice walk and no one was there. We let Sophie off her leash (and discussed how we wished we had a leash for our four year old) and let them run together. It was awesome, they wore each other out. My plan worked!

I hate that I don't have a digital camera, it was so great for them to be running together (although my daughter is clumsy and she fell on the pavement, thank GOD she has good instincts and always puts her hands out, but still, she ripped her tights (dresses and tights, I know, it's california) and scraped her knee, poor thing.

This is good for me, I need the walks, so that helps too.

Sophie loved it and she listened so well. WE went to our first training yesterday and we got so lucky, I mean, it's not even funny. Only two other dogs (usually classes of 10 to 15) and the trainer is great. She owned Sophie in two minutes, she just is good. So it's going to work out and it's at the right time, Sophie is 4 months, I'm hoping this helps us through her puberty rebellion!

Ingrid is her name and she's just great. She's tiny and she just commands the dogs so well. We have already learned so much in one class. Yay for good Sophie news!

That's wonderful! I'm so happy to hear that Sophie was so well behaved at the field. Sorry about your daughter falling though Sad
You're going to have so much fun in training, keep up with it and Sophie can be the perfect dog. Wink We are in our second obedience class and Holly is awesome, the best dog in the class, and I'm not just saying that because she's mine Laughing We've been working very hard everyday and it's really paying off. Weims are just so smart. Very Happy I can't wait, in a few weeks we'll be doing off leash training and then on to agility and rally and who knows what else.
