Hunter has a slow feed bowl. Mr. Smarty Pants figured out quickly that he could flip the bowl over and eat his food from the floor at his own preferred pace. Last night he figured out how to flip it BACK over to lick the rest of the yummy goodness out of it. I thought it must be a fluke. And then he did it again at breakfast, and just now at dinner. That's just _wrong_!

Anyone else have anything their dog does that is just beyond imagining that a dog could figure that out and do it themselves?

Ah what weims will do to get food!

We got River a Buster Cube, which she loves. We give it to her in the garage (her area) because she sends it flying! And generally when we're about to leave that way she has something to do. One day we gave it to her while home and discovered that she will hit it into a corner and then repeatedly hit and bang it into the corner to get the food our faster! We've now seen her do this several times. I think its cheating

Funny you ask. Just today I was home on lunch letting the kids out, and I had them both out for about 5 minute. We went back inside, Vienna immediately went back to the door and whined. So I let her out, told Ronix to "wait" and went outside with Vienna and shut the door. Vienna went into the garage, and was sniffing some old blakets and the next thing I hear is Ronix's collar So I look up and there is Ronix coming around the corner looking for us

I am POSITIVE I shut the door, so I have no idea how he opened it! He is a champ at opening slightly open doors with his nose, so I must have left it slightly ajar...still was very puzzling!

Hunter is a smarty pants!! I love watching them figure stuff out, although it's even more puzzling to try to figure a new way out they won't figure out in 2 minutes

Ronix has also figured out the best way to get food out of kongs, buster cubes etc...he hasn't taught this new trick to Vienna because he likes to steal her knog once we get home

Maya covers herself up with the blanket. She also recently discovered how to turn on the heating pad. These are new tricks, old ones include opening drawers, cabinets, the fridge, the microwave, and all kinds of tricks that just amaze me. Freakishly smart, these guys!

When I put Raider outside in the mornings I have to lock the door because he will open the door and let himself in. There have been several mornings that he has scared the crap out of me...I'll turn around or look up and there he is He started doing this when he was about 4-5 months and we thought it was a fluke, until it became a daily occurrence lol

The funniest smart-Weim stories I can remember were: when Fauzia's dog kept trying
to turn the heat in the car on with her paw, then putting her head by the vent to see
whether it had worked - and somebody whose Weim (in their absence) opened
a cupboard, ate an entire new bag of cat food, closed the cupboard - but left the cat
food in the cat's bowl untouched so no one would suspect anything.
(Didn't mean to steal anyone's stories, but those two were priceless and far from my
own experience! Lucky for Romy, he's big & cute....
