Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the board and already addicted!! I'm the Mom to a 3 year old Cairn Terrier, 6 month old Weimaraner, and 9 wk old Rhodesian Ridgeback... Dooley, Zehen and Zuna.

Zehen is the love of my life. I think I love him more than my husband, but don't tell!!! His name means toes in German because when he was a puppy he had white toes- most of the white has since grown out, but he still has two white toes. He's the smartest, most loyal animal I have ever met.

I work at a vet hospital in North Carolina. I'm a receptionist, but I see a lot of stuff everyday. We live in a rural area, so it's a nearly daily basis to see snake bites, bloat and many of the other scary things that go on with dogs. If you've got a medical question, or a should I go to the vet or not question don't be afraid to ask. More than likely though, if you are concerned about your dog I'll tell you to go. More times than not when an owner comes in and says "my dog isn't acting right" the dog ends up being fairly sick.

I see a lot of tick borne disease- and my Cairn has Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever which has left him with heart disease and liver disease. He tolerates the two puppies as much as he can, but for the most part he stays to himself.

Aside from work and the dogs, you'll find me either at the barn with my horses or at the beach.
