glad i could make you laugh!
The author mentioned how at first they were upset that they wasted their money on the session but afterwards they felt like they could train anything after having success with a chicken.
I also come from a jumper background so I was hooked. I'll have to find a new mount for next spring though as the first hunt showed me why my mother-in-law's OTTB didn't make it on the track.
I'm also at a show barn but the owner has been great about the dogs. Recently, she has had to have a firm hand 'cause some owners were letting their dogs go to the bathroom in stalls and run around the arena when people were jumping. I always hate the people who ruin it for everyone else with their laziness. |

ha! I used to be at a barn where PARENTS were letting their kids run around and pee in the stalls and run around the arena while people were jumping alas, they were never asked not to bring their kids to the barn any more...hmmm.
Good luck finding a suitable mount for foxhunting. My Appendix is so nice and slow and easy....he would never make it in the field...but as I get older, I appreciate a horse you have to use your legs on way more than one you have to "calm down." I still get enough practice with OTTB's working with clients' horses...ugggg! |
