My local Tractor Supply store has just started carrying Taste of the Wild.
They had the Pacific Formula and the Waterfowl Formula, the kid working there said that they had the Buffalo and Venison also, but sold it all.
He said they would continue to stock it if it keeps selling out like it has.
The 30 lb. bag was $41.99, smaller bags were $22.99.
This is very convienent for me, and Ace will be happy.
I had some sample bags of Taste/Wild at one point and he was crazy about it. Very Happy
If you've been looking for Taste/Wild check your local Tractor Supply!!

$70?!?
Confused Now I feel really lucky!

I got Ace the Pacific Formula with the salmon....he really liked all the flavors when I had the sample bags. But, this is our first real venture into going full time grain-free, so I thought maybe the fish kind would be a good transition food (?) hopefully.....

The kid at Tractor supply didn't know if all their stores were going to be carrying it, but it's certainly worth checking out if they do! Sure beats paying shipping charges....
Hopefully, your dad can get hooked up!

Maybe if they don't carry it at this one store they would be willing to order some in? I'll tell my Dad to look.

We don't have a tractor supply here, but I pay $45 a bag at the pet store I go to. The one that is closer to me, and used to carry it charged $55 a bag- I can go 10 miles further and save $10!

I can't beleive how expensive food is. Thats crazy, thats why I refuse to go to some of those high end formulas right away....even with Bailey's allergies. I am not loaded...I'm a single dog/cat Mom!!!! Not to mention, weimys like to eat. The food he gets now is $45 for 35 pounds...I think thats crazy!!!

I found my pup's Innova cheaper at this little groomer near my house. Just a one guy store, he's Vietnamese, very nice guy. I went in on Fri (he didn't have any big bags) he hasn't ordered since vacation. Well, I got a small bag of Innova, and 4 cans of stinky (soft) food for $18. Plus he threw in 2 large bags of Innova biscuits for free (that totaled $22.) I love this guy. It's worth seeing if you can find your dogs food in other little dinky type places. I told him he needs to order, he has the best prices in town! He said he ordered, shipment due on Tues., but he's going to visit his mother. Hope my food lasts til Wed.

I checked at our Tractor Supply and the manager said that he could order it if I would promise to buy at least 3 bags. He said that any of the TSC stores could order it so maybe you need to talk to you local store managers. My husband is going to go by the Atwood's and tell them TSC carries it and see if they can get it, they always try to beat TSC's prices.

I have been feeding my Britt and my Ridgeback TOTW for three months now. My Britt has gained four pounds. She isn't fat by any means but she needs to be thinner.

Anyone else seen weight gain with TOTW? I have had her on the green bean diet for a month with no loss. I am feeding her 1/2 cup twice daily and 1/2 cup of green beans for filler.

I was feeding Chicken Soup for the Soul adult and it was working very well, however we moved and it isn't readily available.

PostPosted: Sun Nov 16, 2008 3:32 pm    Post subject: Same here Reply with quote

Dante was always so fussy when it came to his food. That and the horrible gas/diahrea he would have so i decided to go to this mom and pop shop where the owners know everything there is to know about, well everything they sell lol. Since they know dante pretty well (he likes his car rides) they suggested "Chicken soup for the dog lovers soul" to which i will NEVER feed him again, so i went back and they gave me the Taste Of The Wild priarie mix with bison and venison, needless to say i will never switch his food again. This has so far been the best food i have fed him aside from me cooking him something. I wanted to eat all natural and so far he is going to too, its soy free grain free and by-product free and my dog is happier now then he ever was! It is a bit on the expensive side if your feeding him just kibble but if you feed them like i do with the BARF program, wolf-down mix and kibble on the side then its probaly the best food i would ever recommend anyone to feed their dogs. Very Happy

I have been on TOTW for about a month now. None of my pups have gained weight on it and Banshee is prone to weight gain, so I have to watch her. I feed them about 3 cups per day--give or take a 1/4 cup, supplemented with green beans and yogurt. I have been pleasantly surprized. They do better on the high prairie than the waterfowl. I won't switch them again!

Ace has a tendency to gain weight in the winter, but so far, he has been looking excellent while eating Taste/Wild. Fur is very soft, poops are good, minimal gas. We'll see if he gains weight this winter on it, but as of right now, I'm really happy with it. Finally, something that's working!

What flavor is Ace eating? Have you tried any of the others?

I had sample bags of all 4 flavors a few months ago.
He liked them all.

But as far as full size bags, he has only had the Pacific Salmon and the Waterfowl.
I'm going to try him on full sizes of the Buffalo and the Venison with the next bags I buy.

Waterfowl was not so good for your pups?
