My kids has been on Taste of the Wild pacific formula for a while now and I'm really getting frustrated with the local little pet store that's carrying it. They not only have gone up in prices but they don't stock the pacific formula! I special ordered a 35lb bag a week and a half ago. The told me it would be in Monday, it didn't come in- they told me Wednesday. Went in today, it wasn't there. Just a little frustrated...

Can anyone suggest any other foods? This is the only store in the area that stocks TOTW. There are a few others that stock some of the other grain free brands, just not TOTW. I really need to stick with salmon/fish based. Zehen seems to be allergic to anything else. I would go to EVO, but the price scares me a little bit and the fish formula is a little high in protein. High protein seems to upset Zuna's stomach.

I hate switching off TOTW because it's been the perfect food but I'M SO FRUSTRATED!!!!

Wellness CORE has a fish formula - you can buy this brand at Petsmart now! As far as I know, this is the only grain free you can find at one of the big 'chain' stores... I haven't gotten around to seeing how Luna does on fish-based food but I intend on giving it a go once I'm positive all is well with grain free in general. I've just switched her about a month or so ago to the regular CORE formula.

yes it is.. the core line is all grain free..
given the fact that so many of us have had to switch lately.. and how difficult the transition was.. i don't know if i'd be so eager to switch the food if what they currently eat is working..
i hope your order comes in today..

I had a similar problem with Timberwolf organics fish based food and the distributor......the local store finally gave up carrying it altogether.

I have been feeding Eagle pack holistic select fish based in the interim. I have done some research and am going to be switching to Wellness CORE fish based. Was having problems finding a local store that carried the fish based in the large bag! Have just found a place and am at the bottom of the barrel for Eagle......I believe Petsmart is carrying the regular Wellness (NOT grain free) not the CORE (grain free). The regular wellness fish based was way to much for Wilson. I used to feed it to my old boy and he did really well, Wilson was really gassy and had cowpies on it.

We have tried some small bags of the Wellness CORE and I hope it will work.....if not we will go back to the Eagle Pack Holistic.

Curious if anyone else is feeding Wellness CORE fish based and any thoughts so far? We will be starting it this week.

So hard 'cause he is babysat while I am at work by my parents and they spoil him ROTTEN!!! Evil or Very Mad Drives me crazy, I KNOW they feed him junk, 'cause I pick up his poop and find a HOT DOG or corn, why feed corn it comes out exactly like it went in! So sometimes hard to know if it is the dogfood or the junkfood that makes him gassy.

I think I'm going to go track down some Wellness CORE this afternoon. Hopefully the protein doesn't upset Zuna's stomach.

Good luck - For the record, I chose CORE over EVO because it was lower in protien!

no more dealers in the area. =/ I'm on the such for the CORE fish formula. I think I'm going to try that. We went to Petsmart today, i thought they would have it since they have it on their website- no luck. Tomorrow we are going to go to Petco and then the little pet store that's a little bit of a drive. I would have done it all today but I'm scared to do too much with Zuna that stresses her out (she gets very nervous around other people)- I think that's what triggered her little bloat episode.

Did you ever consider getting Taste of the Wild shipped to you? I too am now feeding TOTW, and only know of one place that carries it, which is 40 plus miles away. Yesterday, I found an online dealer, from the TOTW website, and just got two bags shipped to me. They shipped last night, and I got them at noon today. And the best part is that even with the shipping cost for 2 bags added, it was cheaper than buying it at the place 40 miles away! Plus, I didn't have to pay for any gas, or even sales tax on the food! A few clicks on the website, and it was delivered right to my doorstep by UPS. It was so easy!!
My girls LOVE TOTW. They used to eat Canidae.

I was looking at doggiefood.com. I think if I buy to 30lb bags at a time it's cheaper than buying it at the pet store, even with the $20 in shipping added on. I've got to do my math though. I may just get on the guy at the petstore, even if he has to order me a few big bags at a time to keep it coming.

doggiefood.com is where I got mine! Absolutely great service. Instant responses to my inquiries, from Tony. For me, shipping is only to the next state, so I paid $14 for 2 bags. Shipping is normally a lot cheaper per bag if you buy 2 or more bags at once. It would have cost me $12 for one bag. If I had purchased 3 bags, it would have been $17. And as of Wednesday, Tony said they do have all three varieties of Taste of the Wild in stock, in 30 lb bags.

Yayyyy!!! I found a dealer in the area!! It's a little bit of a longer drive, but it's OK. The owners are so nice. I asked them if they carry it all the time, they said they do, but it's popular down here so to call before I run out to make sure it's in stock. They said they would stick a bag behind the counter if I needed it. I got a bag of EVO small bites for Zuna to start. I'm going to mix just a little bit in, she's going through that super growth stage, so she's not holding her weight as well as I'd like. Right now she's ribby.

Oh oh oh... and the best thing. A 30lb bad is almost $10 cheaper at this pet store than the other!!!!
