| i can't get my dogs in a pool either although both will swim in a lake, river or beach. I tried coaxing with treats and toys but one just wants drink the pool and the other runs around it and barks anytime I'm underwater. Hope you have better luck then me! |

When I can get someone to do it I have them carry him in and let him swim out. He is slowly getting calmer with it. He is getting to be a better swimmer as well. We don't do it everyday, maybe once a week.

Two words: CHEESE BALLS. They float and he wants them!
Don't push the issue, and ask yourself if you really want a dog in the pool. If it were me, that would be a doggy off-limits zone. They aren't water freaks like labs, but the ones that love water REALLY love water! |
