| About three days ago I was given a weimaraner. The lady said they thought she was 4 years old, and that the daog was given to them by someone else who lived in an apartment and had her in a kennal all day. I have read a little about her( her name is Piper), but I think she might have been abused. I think her age is more like 1 1/2. She looks like her bottom teeth are still growing, and is still very clumsy. She is spayed, but I am wondering why she jumps on my leg and tries to pro-create with my leg. She is a very loving and affectionate dog, I just have no idea what I need to do. |

If she is humping your leg, that is dominance.
Start now with NILIF (nothing in life is free). Here is a link to read about it: http://k9deb.com/nilif.htm
You have to establish that you are alpha.
Do you have any experience with Weims? |

| Well, yeah to put it that way, yes she is humping my leg. Thank you, I am going to read it. No, I have never owned one before, so this is a new expierence for me. I have found out that they are like no other breed. I had a lab for 11 years, and know how to train them, but Piper is so very different from a lab. She acts very strange sometimes, which lead me to think she might have been neglected or abused. |

How does she act? Can you be more specific? We may have experienced the same thing. |
