| Sounds like a 3 year old who has never learned manners so is acting like a 6 month old. Ignore her as wildlife says until he calms down then give him the attention he desires. He does what you want, you do what he wants. |

Sit has served us well with Sophie and she's catching on now that she needs to be calm in other circumstances. She won't get a treat or a meal until she's sitting and calm.
I went to get her something to chew on this morning and she just kept jumping and I ignored her and as soon as she sat down, I gave it to her. So I'm getting better at this, but it is hard, especially when my four year old interfers and rewards her for bad behavoir. |

yeah my 5 year old teases charlie then i need to calm both of them down before the biting starts.
i like them to have a role in charlies training but one that they don't get hurt!
our favorite at the moment is to play hide and seek in the forest. i hold charlies harness and tell him to sit and wait, the kids hide behind trees etc. then i let him go and say find them.
as his is protective over the girls he finds them in an instant.
the girls are armed with treats to reward him when he sits at their feet.
but its getting difficult to find good hiding places because he's so good at finding them and theres no leaves on the trees. |
