Ruby officially today became a water lover!! 
Even though it's still technically Winter (2 days left!!) here we have had some BEEAUOOOTIFUL days here in Aus which means nice long walks with lots of off leash play time. Near where we walk there's a dam which we've always walked around, or Ruby has had a drink from. The past week Ruby has been daring enough to splash around in the shallow parts and has even dared to go up past her belly.
I found a dead turtle and fearing a tug of war with Ruby I picked it up and threw it into the water thinking it would be safe from her.
Well who goes right in after it swimming almost 10 meters from the bank and dutifully brings it back to me? RUBY!!!!
We've just booked a beach getaway in November where our little house is right on the beach, Ruby's gunna love it!! |

Yay to liking the water!
Eww to retrieving a dead turtle. 
I have a kid pool in the backyard for my boys and Coder won't even go in that! Maybe I need to find myself a dead turtle... or not. *gag* |

I love Ruby - Such a good girl!!
I also have a kid pool in my backyard (just for the dogs!) but Luna will not go in it, she thinks it to be her giant outdoor water bowl. But you get near open water and she runs right in!

OOhhh, that sounds nice..well maybe not the turtle, that was just funny  . But the beach part sound fantastic..have fun. |

Chelsea is a wierdo as well. She would never get in the kiddy pool and heaven forbid she get hit on the head by a raindrop, the world would end! But, give her a lake, pond, beach or pool and she's ready to play & swim for hours. (Jax refuses to get near water, go figure.)

Congrats Ruby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go!!!! Your gonna love being on the beach!! Jack lives on the lake and thinks its great!!! |
