I can't believe it! We had an agility trial this weekend and in our first Open Standard run Scout qualified! She nailed her down on the table! That five seconds sure is short when she actually does what she is supposed to! We have been stuck in Open Standard since October so this was a big deal for us to get our first Q!
Scout had a great down her second run and would have qualified since the rest of our run was clean but unfortunately it was supposed to be a sit. I have been working with her to do an automatic down on the table and then pull her back up into a sit and she wouldn't do it. She started to get confused so we just moved on. It was such and improvement I won't complain.
We are going to a big show in Blackfoot, Idaho later this week. There is Confirmation, obedience, rally and agility. We run all three events all four days and at least half the standard runs will be downs so we feel pretty optimistic. |

| Yeahhh! Way to go! For us the down is hardest, I'm always hoping for a sit. You'll be in Excellant soon! Good decision to move on in the second run. Good luck next weekend, sounds like a busy one. |

Well, I have narrowed down Scout's problem with the pause table. She is afraid of the judge. After trying many things and retraining her to an automatic down we are finally having some success. The key seems to be that she needs to see the judge. As long as she can see that the judge is not coming to get her she will down on the table. However I still can't get her to sit. |

Thanks! Well, if I ever cure this sitting on the table problem (I am the only one hoping for a down at the trials) I would like to expand out to some other trials. I think it would be really fun to compete at the specialty. I still haven't seen any other weimaraners |
