Today was the first hunt test of the year. Scout hasn't been on birds since last november. So I wasn't expecting alot. He pointed well before the test on some of the birds that made it out of the field. However, in the field he forgot to point. I think it was mostly my fault. I swear I'm more nervous than him. It also didn't help that the brace before us was moved to later because someone was late. So I had to rush to get ready. He did well in everything else. So I'm happy! After it was over a few of us ran our dogs in the fields and then we did some water retrieving with dead birds. Scout was sure game for that. It was 40 degrees here and the water was probably colder! Guess nothing stops him! Anyhow enjoy!
