Puppy Sleep Habits

I see that Huck, who is 8 weeks and 4 days old sleeps an awful lot. Is this normal for such a young puppy? He does have lots of energy, but it's usually around 8 PM when he get's these bursts. Should I try to tire him out at such a young age?

i let riley play until she collapses.
i dont "force" her to do anything - when she gets tired, she naps.
about 9-10 weeks she started taking fewer naps.
now she takes a short one mid evening, then is back up and playing until she collapses for the night.
she and zoe play in the backyard for short bits too - still in the 20's here. she runs in circles chasing zoe like a maniac.
riley is nearly 12 weeks old.

Puppies sleep a lot, it's normal. (Enjoy it!)

Ditto! Enjoy it now cause it won't last too long! Duke sleeps all night and most of the morning hours than comes to life in the afternoon until the evening he's going 100 miles per hour. I guess that's just his schedule. It's nice because I can get alot done in the morning and not feel guilty.

Logan takes naps 5-6 times a day.

Ollie is a sleepy doggy too. He is basically a pretty mellow fellow so he gets bursts around 7-8 pm too (just when everyone else is winding down). But he still naps all day and he is just over 5 mos old now.
