I do not envy you right now. If you are anything like me, you are going to think about this puppy day and night until you get him/her. I was completely smitten with Milo before I ever got him. And I didn't even know if I was getting a boy or a girl! He did not disappoint once he arrived. I remember going to the airport to pick him up. When I got there, he was behind the counter in his crate, and he was sitting so calmly and peacefully like he was just waiting for me. Pam and I both had been so anxious/nervous about his flight. We were both relieved to see how well he handled it. When I took him out of his crate, his nose was to the ground and his tail was high in the air. I knew right then and there that he was exactly what I wanted and had been dreaming about. I knew he'd be a great hunting dog. And every day since then, he's just gotten more and more fun. He's a couch potato, love bug in the house. And a totally driven, hard core hunting dog in the field. Sorry to go on so much about my dog, it's kind of pathetic I guess. But I know how excited you're feeling right now and I want you to know you're going to get a wonderful puppy. I'm glad you're on Weim Addict so I can hear about him/her as he grows up!

Amy, don`t apologize at all! I love hearing stories from people that truly love and enjoy their dogs!
I`ll stay busy reading books and shopping (LOL)I actually am going this weekend to a field trial in Indiana. I am joining the Louisville club and they told me about it.So that will be fun! It will help pass the time and prepare for the new pup.
I have been so sad because of Kaisers health issues, I didn`t know I could get this excited about a new pup. I think it will be a great way to heal and move forward as we help Kaiser transition towards te end of his life. He sure has been my special boy. But he wouldn`t want me to be alone .

From the time I decided I was definitely going to get a weim pup, to the day we got Whiskey, I could not sleep! I was giddy with excitement!

Congrats on the pups, and I can't wait to see pics!

Congrats Pam !!! How exciting ! I LOVE Ultrasounds and I sure am going to miss my US Specialist in Pisqua near Brevard, NC. I too got individual pup photos with heartbeats and measurements printed. It was hard to see and get the photos of the ones way up high under the ribs. She goes up and down each uterine horn at keast 3 times so we don't miss any. Very thorough and only $110 too.

Again - congrats on your upcoming litter.

just wait till the next generation of US machines makes its way into the vet world. Someone from my now-former job brought in her pics and they are beyond amazing. They can actually get good clear face pictures now. Almost like a still photo.
