Hi all
I am new to the world of Weimaraners. We just adopted a nine month old female named Bella. She is a beautiful pup. The previous owners did not have the time to spend with a puppy. She pretty much destroyed everything she could in and around their house. I have had Bella for three days now and have had no major problems. I am disabled and am home all day so I have the time to keep her occupied and vice versa. We have already taught her to sit. It was fairly easy. I was afraid she was going to be set in her ways but she has adapted to our family fairly well. Our little dog is still having problems with her though. I have many questions but I don't want to throw them all out to you all until I have had time to research the board. If anyone has any advice for a beginner I welcome it. I will now begin my browsing of this forum. |

Welcome to the site!
Good luck with Bella! If I can offer any advice it's to exercise her as much as you can. A tired Weim is a happy weim (and generally more well-behaved, although there are exceptions! lol).
I don't know how much your disability restricts you, but if you need any ideas or help, this board is a great place to get advice!!
Got any pics of your new girl? |

| Thanks for all of the welcomes. I will post some pics shortly. I took one with my cell phone and she seems to be quite a ham in front of the camera. I am in a wheelchair permanently. I was worried about her flipping me over at first but I have been able to control her so far. She did try to eat one of my tires. I am paralyzed from the waist down so I have to keep an eye on my feet. I have heard horror stories about baby labs gnawing on their paralyzed owners feet. Once again thanks for the welcomes and I hope to get to know everyone. |
