Hey all. I'm knew so I thought I'd share a few pics of Coder my Weim. We got him from a rescue two and a half years ago when he was one and a half. I hadn't planned on getting a Weim but my husband said the only way I could have another dog was if he chose the breed. Since I have fallen in love with them. How could you not?
Protecting the yard from intruders.
Look they're touching.
It's obvious who's boss in my house. He will always let his brother get the toy but will always chase him.
Sharing his dog bed with his brother Nybble.
Thanks for letting me share. |

I love your Boston!
My husband and have been looking at Boston's and wanted to get Sooner a companion. What do you think about having the Weim first then getting the Boston? Do you think the Boston's can handle the big boys? |

Thanks everyone. I love my boys.
The only thing I would worry about having a Weim in the house before a Boston is if your dog gets along with little dogs. When we went to the rescue to choose Coder, he honestly wasn't our initial pick. We had watched a few playing and decided on the one that was the least mouthy. When we introduced Nybble, he almost became a snack. The rescue lady convinced us to try a second and brought Coder out. They hit it off instantly and we could tell that Coder was the one.
I'm not going to lie and say they always get along. Nybble is often annoyed at Coder because he's a big clumsy oaf. Coder sometimes steps on him and then there's a lot of ear chasing to give him heck. The bitey face can get a little scary as well. I always worry a little about Nybble's eyes.
I know of a few people that have Weims and BT's actually.
If you really are interested and want more info, send me a msg. There's a few really good sites with info on what to look for in a Boston breeder. |
