VOLVULUS (TORSION)... is the condition where the stomach rotates (flips on its long axis) and thereby twists the esophagus and small intestine closed so there is no passage of stomach contents or gas in or out of the stomach.
My dog suffered from this when he was 10 months old.. he is a year and a half now and we are just getting his diet on track.... and gaining weight it had been a long road but does anyone have any advice ?? Or know anything more about this.. |

| Do a search for Bloat, there have been quite a few threads on this. |

been there, done that. My boy was just about 7 years old. He's now 11. He was tacked and we now feed smaller meals and DO NOT excite 1 hr before and after eating.
Some swear by raw food instead of kibble. He still eats kibble. He also eats human food.
Weimdawgs also went through this w/ her senior boy in Dec.
Others on WA have not been as lucky as us to have survived. recently...
if he needs to put on healthy weight, try searching for a "satin balls" recipe. they are homemade meatballs that work like a charm to put on weight, add sheen to the coat and keeping Weimies happy!
good luck and welcome to our forum. |
