I think 8 months is plenty old to switch up to adult dog food.
It really stinks about Canidae, because it was a really good food for an affordable price... Some dogs are still doing well on the 'new' formula, some are not.
I chose to switch Luna to grain free, which is way more expensive than I would prefer. I do still feed the fosters Canidae All Life Stages and my current foster seems to be doing just fine. |

| natural balance ultra premium is great food for the price. All natural, NO corn wheat, soy, byproducts or filler. No artificial preservatives and....... is a all-life stage food. Which means it's good for pups to adult dogs. They also have an agility formula which has higher protein for working dogs and is also good for active pups. |

| You can switch the 8 month old to adult food with no problem. I put my puppy on adult food when she was 3 months old, and lots of people skip puppy food completely. Hopefully you find a food that agrees with both of them. |

I finally got Haus totally switched over to Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potato. I also put my Foster Tempest on it. They are both doing great as far as firm stools and I haven't noticed any gas. So I think I will stick with it. Yeah Natural Balance

| Our vet recommended we take our girl off of puppy food at 3 mos., so you should be good.. We are feeding both of our girls science diet. They are both doing well on it. They are looking healthy and both have a firm stool, which is always a plus... [/u] |
