So I've been sick at home for the past few days. Calvin has been like this most of the time! Today I finally dropped him off at daycare so he could run around a little instead of sleep all day long...
Thank goodness for Weim-a-snuggles.

This last weekend, I was headed out of town to a field training day, so I borrowed Gus the Weimarpony from where he's fostered. We wanted to see how he'd do on birds, and the Weim I was supposed to take came into season last week (bad idea for a field day). Well, I also had a crummy cold that a co-worker brought to work last week. Gus, as big as he is (87lb) still was a great snuggler in the motel room. Nothing quite like a Weim for when you're not feeling that great, plus it's chilly out. He, of course, loved getting to sleep on the bed, rather than in a crate, too. Went to the training day the next morning feeling not too bad, considering. He has some finding/pointing instinct, but isn't at the high end of that. That's OK. He's such a big ol' sweetie it doesn't matter that much. |

i love it when my weimy's snuggle with me. They are always trying to lay with me on the couch. most of the time my legs fall asleep when they do. Fooky is about 75lbs and Miley is 45lbs. i think i need a bigger couch. |
