Check out the latest from them:
http://www.canidae.com/
So this is where they are hoping to pick up some of that business lost due to so many previous customers (including me) abandoning Canidae foods when they came up with the "new, improved" forumulas.
As for me personally, even though I now feed grain free, I want nothing more to do with Canidae. |

| Hmmm, they're making a fish flavor in grain free....very interesting....I wonder if that makes it more palatable then the other new formulas. Anyone got their hands on a bag of this grain free canidae yet? I'd be interested to hear if your dog(s) like it any better or not...Rosie is so darn gassy from all these new food attempts. |

the grain free seems to be the new trend in dog food.. i am in the process of switching hooch to wellness core from canidae all stages.. he still has very wet poo, but it is only day 2 of the transition. i wonder if they need a little healthy grain in their diet to firm things up?
i'm going to give it a good week or 2, and see how he does. i suppose i could always add my own brown rice.. i'm trying to give him nothing new or supplemental until the transition is complete. |

| Wrigley's poop really has not been different but he is constantly trying to eat grass when we go outside. is that really a sign that their stomach is upset? |

I just went through the battle of finding a new food because Sooner could not keep down the "new improved formula". We were out of town when Sooner changed to the new bag of food. When we picked him up from DogMode we thought he was sick. He was throwing up after every meal and has some nasty poo! I took him to the vet, nothing... They said it was probably the new food. So I changed it.. he started to do better.. then I put the Canadie in his bowl again and he went straight out and barfed and ate grass.
I LOVED the old Canadie. It was the first food that I have ever had Sooner on that he actually liked and didn't have the runs. Sad to see it go... |

Ditto! I have a shop that still has the "old" 40 lb bags of the original formula--in THEIR warehouse. I have been buying them 3 or 4 bags at a time, not knowing WHEN they would run out for good. I just picked up the last 2 they had in the store and they assured me they still have more in their warehouse. I'm not sure what I'll do when they finally run out because my dogs did not do well on the "new" formula. (I brought my bag back for a full refund!)
