Eye swells and drools

My one year old Milo is having some issues. From time to time one of his eyes will swell up and it will swell up on the one side of his face. It only happens on one side though. He will have a fair amount of eye buggers in that eye. When it swells bad he will also have a runny nose and will drool really think sticky drool. I don't know if it is allergies because it will be back to normal the next day. Please help me out. Matt

He may have a blocked tear duct. Because it's one sided I would think sinus infection- but I'm not sure that dogs can get them. A trip to the vet (especially during one of the flare ups) couldn't hurt!!

Well we have been two times before and my wife went today. The first time it swelled it was on the other side of his head and he would whine when he would chew on something. Well the vet looked at him and then took X-Rays and he had a hair line fracture in his jaw.... well gave him antibis and steroids and swelling went down.....now swelling is on the other side and he will not open his mouth very far....will run after the ball , put his nose on it and then run back. If i try to open it he will wimper....When my wife took him to the vet today she had been looking around and found something that fit him and they took blood to see if it is it....It is called " Masticatory Myositis" or " Eosinophilic Myositis. Has anyone seen this or been around it... what are we about to get into???? Thanks for any help or prayers for Milo... Thanks, Matt
