| All of a sudden our dog has become OCD with balls. Which is fine, we will play fetch with him a lot, as long as we are the one's who initiate the game. He is not aggressive with humans, he drops the ball right away and is extreamly submissive. However, when we are at the dog park and another patron is there playing fetch with thier dog he gets extreamly aggressive? He will steal the ball drop it at my feet, and "snap" at other dogs who try to get it?? How can I cure him of this problem? He only acts like this with dogs, not humans?? Thank you for your help! |

| I would probaby collar him and play with the other dog while praising him for letting you do that. Even tho he is not like this with people, he needs to accept that you as the boss can play with whomever you want. |

So are you saying that Gus is acting like this because he doesn't want me around other dogs? When we are at the dog park I pet other dogs, but I guess I never played ball with them. So I should leach him and play ball with other dogs while he watches and gets praised?
He is a great dog, I hope ppl are not judging me b/c of this....I just need help correcting this behavior. I don't know what I did that set him off?
Thank you for the response! |
