how do i add color to a B/W picture????

i've seen a couple B/W pictuers where people color in only the dogs eyes and an object in the picture.....how do i do that????? i'm a picture FANATIC and i would love to be able to do that with all sorts of pictures. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently only figured out how to do this.. you have to have Photoshop. From there I just googled a tutorial on how to do it which easily explained how to do it!

Photoshop! rockin' program.
There are tons of tutorials for novice photoshoppers.
like mentioned above google photoshop tutorials.

you can also do this to a limited degree in photobucket..not really sure how to do it, but I saw there was the option...definately not as slick at photoshop though
