If you asked me about my old man, I'd tell you he is a perfect dog. Of course he has his moments but generally speaking you couldn't really ask for a better one...UNTIL TONIGHT!
I came home and he peed on our bed. A huge puddle and he was nice enough to pull back the duvet first! He never has accidents in the house so I hope it was a freak moment and not a kidney/bladder problem. Due to his age I know it is a good possibiliy BUT WHY ON THE BED??? I took his temperature which is fine and will be watching his consumption and output over the next few days just in case.
Anyways, I have washed everything, including the feather bed which kept the mattress dry but will probably take a month to dry.
BTW Marvin was securely in his crate and therefore has an alibi. |

When cats have a urinary or bladder problem, many times they will use a bed or some other piece of furniture. Something soft -- maybe they feel it will not be so uncomfortable to urinate if they are somewhere that is soft?
Does he usually sleep on the duvet? If so, maybe he was moving 'his' bed, rather than pee on it? |

That might be it. I hope it's not a UTI but he seems a-okay. |

He seems to be fine. I guess it could have been a bad day for the old man.
My feather bed still has yet to be put back together. |
