| The family will be moving in October and cannot take her with them. If anyone is interested please let me know. I am in the process of getting more information about her. |

| Update: We are working on possibly getting her to the Northern California Weim Rescue. They have a family looking for a young female also, so it could be a match. |

| Update: The Northern Cal Weim Rescue has agreed to take this girl and have already found a possible permanent home. I will be picking Daisy up from her home on Thursday and meeting ChuckDC on Friday with her and he will transport the rest of the way to Northern Cal to her Foster family (Thanks Chuck). If everyone would just get involved with rescue (even a little) we could save alot of Weims. With the price of gas there has been an increased demand for volunteer transporters in all areas of the US. If there were more volunteers who could even just drive an hour or two this would help tremendously. Please help your nearest Weim Rescue! |

I gotta agree on the price of gas being a big factor. I was just about tapped out last month with all the transports I was doing. It's eased somewhat now with the prices coming down some, and not having quite so many, but there are still some out there. I'm headed out later today to go evaluate another female for NCWR.
Last month, I ended up robbing from my gun safe fund in order to make a couple of transports. I havent even paid all of that back yet. It cost almost 90 bucks each time to fill up my car. That does a lot of miles, but out here there are a LOT of miles to do, too. Most of my trips were roundtrip Visalia/Tulare/Hanford to Modesto.. that's 300 miles, times 5 dogs or so in just one month.
Please help out if you can! |
