Have you guys seen this?!!? http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2008/04/pet_food_recalls93.html
I feed Nutro LB Puppy to Zehen and Lite to Dooley before switching them over to Taste of the wild about a month ago. I'm wondering now if this explains Zehen's random nights of vomiting??? I started to hate Nutro- I was feeding Zehen twice as much as I am now just to keep his weight up, and now, eating 2 cups a feed of TOTW he's getting a little chunky. Doo has turned into a different dog now that he's on TOTW. Hmmm... Makes you wonder!!!

Yes, I knew about that. It's such a terrible quality of food. It's full of fat, and a lot of dogs are getting sick because they can not digest it. I'm ashamed to say that I had Chevy and Hemi on it for a while.

They seem to be pushing though. They even have 'Nutro attendants' at Petsmart near me. They try to get you to buy it every time you walk down the aisle.

Oh crap, that's what we feed Cloudybear!!! Shocked

I didn't hear them talk about it on the news. I guess, I shouldn't be surprised--they probably don't have enough "evidence" bastards.

If you can ween Cloudybear off Nutro and onto something else, i'd try to do that. My dh works @ petCo. They never have a lot of Nutro in stock and signs are everywhere that "there is a delay with production due to inavailibilty of stock"
If they use the same stuff in other dog foods why can't they get "stock?!"
I bet they use crap from overseas like w/ all the recalls last year.
We use natural balance... all made in USA. Another we may try is Wellness. good luck and i hope Cloud stays healthy! What a beautiful pearl Weimie!

Where can you get Wellness at? Does Petsmart carry it or is it a special order deal?

He's been eating the Nutro for a bad and now is on his second one. How soon would the effects be? Part isn't convinced we have a bad bag. He thinks Cloud would show signs by now.

NB and Wellness are at PetCo. I think Wellness can also be in other boutique-y type pet stores.
Blue Buff is mainly @ PetSmart, but some PetCo's have it. I would check your local places.

Thank you. I think the only thing we have in our area is Petsmart. I could be wrong on that front as I don't drive around aimlessly as I used to (thanks to gas prices, sigh). I will have to check it out. Now I just have to convince Part.

Here's the link for Wellness CORE - we are in the process of switching Darby over to the ocean variety.

you can do a search for a store near you by plugging in your zip code.
