Apparently there are 3 other people who called before me. She took down my name but unless each of them back out I won't get her.
I am glad that she will get a home though.

Awww well lots of people DO back out so there's still a chance! And yes you are absolutely freakin nutso for wanting another one!!! But so was I when I got my second. Mine are only 3 months apart in age. They are a handful, but if you think you can handle it it definitely can be done! |

I'm sorry...
If you do think you want another Weim now, keep checking that shelter, they do seem get them fairly often. They're usually younger dogs, too. |

Oh, I say go for it!
We have 4 now—when we just had Willy, we adopted Rufus, who was an 8 month old HELLION. And, that was two weeks before our wedding—we survived it, so I'm sure you will do fine!
Good luck, when the right one comes along... |

Well??? Did you get her???
I don't think you're crazy at all. You may have noticed my post about a month ago about Sprinkles. She was a little female looking for a home and was the SAME age as Django...who is now only 17 weeks old. So you see, "I" am the crazy one around here!!
Anyway, my little Sprinkles was placed in a home but they've asked if they can contact me if it doesn't work out for some reason so you never know what will happen. In the meantime I'm just loving every minute with Django. |

I apparently don't know how to post an update...
Ok so the 1st people on the list to get this dog have till 6 pm tonight to make a decision.
The 2nd people on the list are from California, and are willing to fly here to get this dog if the 1st people don’t accept. They have until 6 pm tomorrow night.
Am I crazy to think that is weird for someone in California to fly all the way to Kansas to rescue a puppy that is on a waiting list and will have no problem finding a home? Seriously… does this seem odd or is it just because I want her? |

Good heavens! it's not like we don't have enough dogs here in CA for them to rescue. They must really be taken by her. |

So, the adoption fee is $120 for a dog and they are going to fly about 1600 miles to get this pup. I'm surprised that this shelter would adopt out so far out away from them. Weird
If its meant to be, you will be her owner, she is so precious. |

Last year there was a litter of Irish Wolfhound cross pups that we got at our shelter and a family from Vermont had one of the dogs flown out to them after paying the adoption fee, donating about $200 more, and paying a chauffeur to drive the dog. We let the dog go that far away because it was obvious that she was going to get a good home. We get updates once in a while and they were the best choice by far. I still think it's crazy how much they paid for never meeting the dog until she came home. *shrugs* |
