So, it was the hottest day of the year so far and it's just going to get worse. So the dogs have been making up for it by staying inside. Here are some bored pics and vids I took. Ma, I'm bored! Tomorrow it is supposed to be 101 here in Lincoln NE...whoo hooo for the heat! And well the humidity...lets just not talk about that... The heat index today was 110 degrees, I'm not sure the humidity, but it was nasty out. The weatherman said the next few days are going to be worse with a H.I. of 115!!! Yesterday at my work the UPS guy brought a package by at about 945am and I always chat a little with him. Well, his shirt was completely drenched! It looked like he had just gone swimming and he still had the rest of the day to work. I told him he better drink a lot of water and Gatorade. I try to stay in myself, it just puts me in a bad mood when it's like this outside. Looks like they made the most of their day. I'm sure they were tired after all that playing. Today was nice so we went for run in the bush and finished up with a swim in the pool. My son and granddaughters are here during the week for now so the dogs are in and out. Eddie says Jake and Silkie lay in the basement a lot...those two don't swim. Jude and Lucy lay around in front of the fan most of the day. I only have a window unit cooling off my house so it's been super miserable the past couple of days. I'm usually a warm weather person, but not this warm! I'm ready for fall and I think they are too. Scoot has a new Remington Orange one and I love it on him. I get matching leads for them everytime too. Sucks that it's that hot! It's horrible that we all get excited when it finally is under 100 degrees! But...and this is a huge but...I saw on the locals from the Weather Channel that on Thurs our high is going to be 85! Hopefully they aren't lying to us. Its 110 here in Dallas Texas today and Layla is so bored. Her friend lives next door and every night around 10pm, when its cooler, they play in the yard to get rid of all the energy from the day. I feel so bad Any fun in the house suggestions would be great!!! I also noticed that we were getting somewhat cooler weather on the Weather Channel. I am hoping for some rain from TS Eduardo. That would be awesome! We had alittle bit of rain on Friday, and Champ was so happy to be outside playing in it. He was a WILD MAN!!
