So, Amelia and I are laying on the bed in the AC watching TV. We are there for an hour. She is sleeping. I move a little and I feel wettness. I think "Strange, did she drool?" Nope! Wrong end!! A HUGH wet spot.
I send her outside, I rip the sheets off, clean the mattress and then to the laundry room. It it had a very slight yellow tint and didn't smell at all.
She has had an UTI before. But she has NEVER peed while sleeping. Accidents in the house on the floor yes. That...never.
What the hell? What happened here? What should I be worried about? What signs should I look for? What is wrong with my baby?!?!?!?!
P.S. She is 4 y.o. and fixed. |

She could have possibly developed a urinary incontinence .Apparently it's common in spayed females.
My female had developed it when she was around 1,5-2 yrs old.She is 3,5 now. We give her one pill before bed time and she does not leak.
Keep an eye on her,if you see it happening again consult with your vet. |

I would keep an eye on her and watch for any more urinating in her sleep and more frequent urination outside. More water drinking than usual stuff like that. If any of that happens I would suggest going to the vet and having her urine checked. Our 1 female has dribbled once in her sleep but never did it again. I had her urine checked just to be sure and all was well
Keep us posted! |

My desexed doberman developed urinary incontinence when she was around 4-5yrs old. It was so sad as the medication wasn't that reliable so it meant no more sleeping inside. I wish we never desexed her! Poor thing had slept inside her whole life so she was very upset when she no longer was allowed |

My 1 year old girl has had it since she was about 7 months old and it only happens when she is asleep.
We use Propalin which is very strong, I HATE to give it to her but I have tried alternatives without success |

June dribbles like that. We think it's incontinence. Recently when Blue and she were sick, HE puddled in his sleep... on our bed. It could have been they're in such a deep sleep like a child who sometimes has an accident.
I would keep an eye out and if it happens again, check w/ the vet. Good luck! |

| That happened with Marley once. It had not happened since. I think she might have just had a bad dream. |

| Well one time Lucky wet the bed. He usually wakes me up to go out but he just wet the bed. I was shocked but you know how we have those dreams that we are in a bathroom going pee and we almost wet the bed ourselves. Well maybe sometimes they are dreamin that they are standing by the biggest smelliest bush and they do there business? Just an option. I hope there is no medical problem at all. |

i've been having the same issue with our 5yo female. We found she's incontinent. We've been giving her NutraVet bladder control every day for the last 2 weeks or so and it seems to be working. you'd have to rule out anything wrong with her first like UTI or something of the sort. It's always when she's sleeping. here's some info on it
http://www.nutri-vet.com/pc-86-32-bladder-control.aspx
we got the 90 count for like 25$ at petsmart. |

Thanks all!
So far it's been the one time. I am keeping my fingers crossed that was it. Now we just have mad eye boogers in the left eye. |
