Northern California Weimaraner Rescue may need to intervene with some Southern California shelter Weimaraners soon. What we need are volunteers that could go the the shelter, pick up the dog on hold for us, and help us transport North. We may do this for family turn-ins where the dog may need an overnight while we organize transporting.
We have our own transport team north of Bakersfield but have very few contacts south of there.
If you would be willing to joing our network of volunteers please email norcalweimrescue@yahoo.com.
We may also need volunteers to do home inspections for potential adopters in the South. Let us know what geographical area you can cover.
Check us out at norcalweimrescue.org to learn about our organization.
Thanks

Anyone know people in the central valley area, that is the area that both rescues are having the most trouble with with coverage. Nice to have Lynda in SB County but I know often you can't get to shelters and whatnot, there just needs to be mroe coverage in the "in between" spots.
Just went to FFP yesterday. LOTS of dogs... |

Hi Anne,
What exactly do you mean by the Central Valley? It's hard for me to get away for a long period of time due to my Mother being ill, but I could help out with home inspections in my area. I wish I could do more. |

If you're talking about Bakersfield to Fresno. I'm pretty much IT. There might be one or 2 other people, but I've been doing most of NorCal's work for anything south of Modesto or so. I take them up to Turlock, Modesto etc and meet people there for tranport north of there.
I've been busier than heck the last couple weeks with transports for both NCWR and the new rescue "Save A Weimaraner" I've had 6 transports and a home inspection in the last 3 weeks. To be honest, I could sure use the help. BUT I'll keep at it if necessary., |
