So in like May i think icarus was romping around the dog park and his paw got caught up in like a gopher hole and he fell over and cried but then he got right back up and started running around like nothing happened. So we just thought he was still pretty young and is such a baby so we just kept an eye and left it at that. But he still limps sometimes. It's not every day but has become more frequent over the last couple weeks. I was giving him these treats with glucosamine but i saw on the package that you aren't supposed to give it to puppies so i stopped giving them. Do you think he's limping cause he stopped getting the supplements or should i be concerned and bring him to the vet. I mean he's only 7 mos. old.

| If he's still limping from something that happened in May, I think I would take him in... Hopefully, it's nothing but just in case. |

| well it hasn't been a constant. it seemed to only last a couple days at most when it first happened and it wasn't a bad limp that he wouldn't put weight on it at all. yesterday he may have hurt it again because i was vacuuming and he was total psycho running around the house. i had to stop vacuuming so he would stop. that's when he started limping again it's the same leg. so i think maybe he sprained it the first time and it was weakened? i don't know his limp now is very slight, it's just like he favors it a little. yesterday was worse then today. |

If you get some Homeopathic Arnica 30c and when he hurts himself give him one right away and perhaps another one later if he's still sore that should help - it's for any injury - sprains, strains, bumps, bruises, helps after surgery too.
I now carry it in my pocket when walking as my last girl was always spraining something! She used to demand her arnica More often now I'm dishing it out to other folk with daft youngsters who have sprained something
Sounds like it's just not thoroughly healed yet, but can't be that bad if he can do zoomies! |

so Icarus has been on strict relaxation today all day which wasn't easy. How do you make a weim puppy relax? So it seemed like his elbow (definitely the elbow) wasn't bothering him too much...until my sisters decide to drop by with their dogs Sonny the 1y.o. english bull dog and 2 6 m.o. pugs Tallulah and Myles. Yes I love them, they're cute. But could you pick a worse time to visit!? So of course Icarus is ecstatic and being nutso and is now limping again! Ugh I could kill them I think I'm going to make an appointment to be on the safe side. Man this dog is really pushing my budget he's lucky I love him |

| I think you should take your dog to the vet. I hate to scare you but something similar happened to Riley, he was chasing a ball and came back with a bloody paw. Didn't think anything of it, maybe he jammed his toe type of thing, and he was limping. Took him to the vet and got an x-ray taken and they didn't find anything. The limp persisted on and off, he would limp if he had been active though. I went took the x-ray to a specialist and his toe was fractured. I had gone thru 6 months of resting him in case it was just swollen or whatever, and every time I got him a bit more active, there was that limp again. Anyway, by that time, it was too late to do anything with his toe, so he's on Dasuqin with MSM for the arthritis that developed. I actually considered amputating his toe because he still has a few years of hunting in him, but the Dasuquin did its job. |
