| so hunter got into my brother's gum, and my mom and dad aren't home. he ate like the whole pack. will his digestive system pass it or will it get caught in his intestines? I called my dad and he said it should pass it fine, but Im not too sure about that. will the gum cause problems? |

YOU NEED TO CHECK TO SEE IF IT HAS XYLITOL IN IT! IF IT DOES GET TO THE VET ASAP!!!!!
Xylitol is poisonous to dogs. How long ago did he eat the gum? If it was within 15 min or so, induce vomiting and get on the phone with your vet now. If it's been longer I'd take him to the vet. The symptoms come on quickly and can most definitely kill your dog.
If it doesn't contain xylitol (which is in mos sugarFREE gums) then i probably wouldn't worry too much. |

UPDATE:
nope, no xylitol in it! heres what he got ahold of http://www.zeer.com/Food-Products/5-Rain-Sugarfree-Gum/000014632 different flavor, but I doubt that matters. (unless fruit gum has it and mind doesn't, but I doubt it). so unless anything there hurts dogs i guess he's fine. |
