It breaks my heart that they would split them up when they had someone MORE than capable wanting to keep them together... |

Exactly.
Just keep an eye out for ones that need a home. Lynn, I'm sure you get urgent cases all the time... just keep me in mind. |

What gets me, is that they could of even did a in home visit to find out what would be the best home, if they were listing weimaraner experience wanted. That is just plain stupid. I feel so bad for you! i am still praying that something good will happen, and that maybe those people will just not go through with it....
Prayers to you and your family

| I wonder what an inundation of recommendation letters from weimaraner addicts across the world would do for your case??? |

| We currently have 3 weims. That is my limit. Just make sure you read up on pack order/pack mentality. When the number increases to 4, it's a little more work to keep order in the pack. Good luck...keep us posted! Jackie |

I'm understand your frustration...
I feel like if the people aren't committed Weim people or don't have enough experience, the backup person is the person that will end up with them...That would be you!
Keep us updated. |

I left a message for the coordinator for the adoptions telling her to keep me in file in case they do come back, or something doesn't work out.
I just hope their new homes are good ones. |

Wow, I just read through this entire thread. What a roller coaster. I am SO sorry that they didn't adopt them out to you. It would have been better if they could have stayed together.
We have 4 dogs in our home but only 1 is a Weim. We do foster for the Louisville Weimaraner Rescue and have a second Weim here from time to time. I always see the pictures of the Weims laying together and stuff, but that never happens here. Starr (my Weim) will not allow any other dog to lay with her, she has to go lay with them if she chooses to do so. Such a little stinker she is, but I love her more than words can say. |

Well, it didn't work out...
Someone else will come into our lives, I'm sure of it. For the time being, I will just enjoy my two and give them all the love I have.
Thanks again for all your support and advice.
If anything changes, I'll let you know.
Kelly!! How have you been? How's Lily and Kaya? I still have your xmas card on my fridge . We need to arrange a meeting! |
