Molly has developed a lump over her right eye that seems to be sore to the touch. Does anyone have any ideas or advice????

Is this bump soft and movable or is it hard and stationary???? If she flinches in discomfort then you touch it you might want to have it checked
by your vet. Has it gotten any bigger and how long has it been there? Did she run into something or was she playing rough with other dogs??? You might also want to check with your breeder to see if any of the other siblings have had any similar things happen like this. I'm sure she will be fine but it would be nice to know what is going on!

It is soft, but I can't put very much pressure on it because it bothers her. I noticed it about 2 hrs ago and it's been the same size since. She was sore there the other day but had no visual signs. I'll be calling the vet in the morning to see what his opinion is, but I am hoping it is just something that will go away. First puppy and dont want to over react if this is common.

With our babies you can never overreact. It's the time that we don't take it serious that something truly is wrong. I see it all to commonly in the vet clinic. So I always say if you are concerned give your vet a call. Many people try to save a buck and do home remedies. We do some but in the end I always end up bringing my dogs in to have the vet check them out. these guys are our "kids" and if your human kids was hurt would you really keep waiting or trying things at home to make it better?

Hope all turns out well for miss Molly. Please keep us posted on the news

well she seems to be ok. the bump appears to be gone and isn't bothering her anymore. i'm not sure if maybe she bumped her head where there was a previous bruise or not...we are taking her to the vet for a spay on tuesday so we will inquire as to what it could be. hopefully it is nothing as we thought...

if it's gone don't worry. my dogs have had many bumps on their heads from playing or bumping their head somewhere (like the glass sliding doors... Rolling Eyes ). if it went away i think is was just a bump
