I had to stop by with a brag about our weekend!
Logan and I went up to the Willamette Weimaraner Club's first Specialty (in Portland), to support the entry and to meet up with lots of people I've been looking forward to meeting.
It took us 13 hrs to get there -- Holy crap that is far. LOL But, we made it in.
Friday was the Specialty, I'd hired a handler for him as I felt ill equipped to compete with so much beautiful competition. So Friday he won Best in Sweeps. Followed by a 4 point major as Winners Dog on Friday. Saturday he won Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex, for a 5 pts major over Specials from the 12-18 class! Congratulations to WD on Sunday, and Islevue dog also from the 12-18 class.
It was VERY exciting for us and now Logan only needs 1 more point to finish. I'm very proud of him, he did excellent for his handlers. And they did a great job with him.
I also enjoyed meeting so many WONDERFUL weimaraner people. We had a fantastic time!! Thank you to the Willamette Weim Club for putting on such a great Specialty and making us feel so welcomed.
Also last weekend he finished his UKC Ch in one weekend going Reserve BIS one day and several Group 1's. We've had a lot of showing as of late, I think we may take a few weeks off! )
Thank you for letting me get it out, I'm so very proud of my kid. I know that i'm just lucky to have happened on such a great dog. So a BIG congrats to my Breeders, Waltz Weimaraners and to the handlers who made him show to his full potential, Carmen Ruby.
Here are a few pictures:
In breed with my handlers partner (she took both WB and WD)
With his regular handler
The judge had just pointed at logan (gaiting) for the points.
And a video of him in the Breed ring:

| Congratulations on Logan's wins! He looks young. How old is he and who are his parents? It's been a long time since we have shown our dogs. I kinda miss it...but not the 13 plus hour drives! LOL. Jackie |

Thanks so much!! It really was more than we were expecting, what a lovely surprise it was... definitely made the 13 hrs drive more palatable! hahahaha

That's his page if you want to see more about him, lists his pedigree. He's 12.5 months old, so yes. Still very young. Lots of filling out left to do, for sure. We are getting there, slowly. But I'm trying to enjoy his puppyhood as there isn't much more of it left It goes so fast! |

Thanks soooo much you guys! I couldn't wait to tell the WA's!
Amy, oye. The next show. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do. There are some shows "nearby" (2-3 hrs away) during August. Or do I wait for a Specialty and try (God willing) to finish him with a bang. I'm leaning towards just taking him to a show and having the honor of finishing him myself (with a little help from Carmen getting his majors! hahahaha). I've been hearing from people with positive and negatives to both.
I'm waffling. Thoughts? |

| Oh you should show him yourself! (You knew I was gonna say that right?) Hm like Jackie you are making me miss it! I would probably go for the small shows, sometimes people get annoyed when you don't need a major and then go win. (From someone who finished Riley with a 3rd major.... I felt bad...) Just show him at the Specialty as a Special! |
