| There is an excellent article in the August 2008 issue of The Whole Dog Journal entitled Vaccinations 101 by Lisa Rodier. It is about Dr. Ronald Schultz and his studies on canine vaccines, including his current 5 & 7 year challenge studies on the rabies vaccine being financed by The Rabies Challenge Fund. |

Nena,
I thought it was very good -- especially the statistics about the puppyhood shots and at what percentage of dogs respond to vaccination at what age because of maternal antibody interference. All of tt really helps to know that "Research shows that less than 50 percent of puppies will respond at six weeks; 75 percent at nine weeks; 90 percent at 12 weeks; and by 14 to16 weeks, close to 100 percent will respond." (Dr. Ronald Schultz's comment Vaccinations 101 by Lisa Rodier, The Whole Dog Journal August 2008).
Lots of great information in there, let me know what you think after you've had time to read it!
