One of my friends recently brought home her female puppy. Her male was the sire of the litter, so had months of anticipation...first was the female bred? Then the 2 month wait for them to be born...then the birth...then another 8 weeks until the puppy. She visited them every week and even brought over puppy agility equipment. So cute! She was funny. She would call me and say something like: "5 more days and a wake up til I get my puppy". LOL.

...that's me, too! I have also taken to reading puppy rearing books as well. For those times when I can't get to a computer. I am definitely obsessed
...No news posted yet... It's killing me...although I know the breeder has more on her hands than just updating her blog... I am hoping that there will be another post by this evening with puppy news.
It does seem like a long wait! We have been on a wait list for this breeder since winter - the first breeding (with a different mother and father) didn't take and that took a couple of months to verify, and so we are on our 'second pregnancy' as it were. |

Congrats! That's great!
I've still got the weekend to wait... getting pretty agonizing. I already have a picture of the litter though, if ultrasound pics count. |

This whole thing IS really like being pregnant! I thought so too! LOL Only this way we get to do the excitement twice (excitement up to delivery, and then more excitement around the pick up day). I am just SO happy that we are getting a puppy from this litter. I just got the tickets to go pick him up in September and I am so excited that I am not much use to anyone today
The names are hard... Right now I think we are going to go with Leshii (pronounced LESH-ee) - this is a name from Russian folklore - it is a sort of Russian forest spirit that can play tricks on people, or help them out. It's actually a great name for a Weim. Hubby is from Russia so that's why the Russian folklore name.
I'll see if I can find a way to post a pic of the puppies, they are SOOOO adorable...
Edited to add: I did get a leash to celebrate And a collar or two Dang collars are just so cute. |
