I just spoke to Vickie about Miss Lucy. She sounds just like my Silkie personality wise. Lucy is NOT good with other dogs. She is very good with children and people in general. I also can't believe they adopted her out last weekend WITHOUT SPAYING HER WTF????
She was returned because she was aggressive toward the male dog. She is not housebroken and has no manners what so ever. They kind of think spaying her will help with the dominance but I disagree. She is 2.5. And Silkie was spayed at 7 months and was was and still is a queen bitch.
I just found out the Louisville Weim Rescue handles Ohio so I sent them an e-mail about her this morning.
She will need to be an only dog. If you know someone who has a little weim savvy and is looking for a beautiful young female to save and make part of the family, Lucy is worth looking into. |

I jokingly (sort of jokingly) said to hubby the other day "I think Hunter needs a girl around to play with...Shadow and Hunter are buds but they don't hang out....He said alright ...I just walked away with a smile |

| I heard back from Louisville. I think they are going to TRY to help with her. It's going to be tough because apparently she is aggressive towards other dogs.... |

I heard back from Louisville and they can't take her poor girl. I spoke to the rest of my board and they feel we are spread too thin as it is...not that I know of anyone that could foster her.
I feel so bad for her.....
Jillynn,
They knew she may have issues with other females. She was adopted out to a family with a submissive 4 yr old male and they said she was VERY aggressive toward him..to the point that she would not let him back in the house. Of course, they only kept her one night...I don't how you can tell anything in that amount of time. |

i dont think i have the time to put into her right now... i couldnt do her justice and my two girls... and im not sure i would want 3 girls and a potential dominance battle at the same time. too many women at once for me. |
