Zoe is a major worry wart. And Zoe carries a large stuffed teddy bear around with her all the time. She sucks on its nose whenever she needs to de-stress. And keeps it tucked under her head and paws even when she is not sucking on it, so Gracie can't get it!
Of course, Gracie drags her Clifford the Big Red Dog around everywhere, and sucks on his feet!
Here is Zoe and her bear
And just so Gracie is not left out, here is Gracie sucking on the foot of a teddy bear that I had to finally throw away, since it fell apart from too much sucking by both Gracie and Zoe. Often, the two of them would lie next to each other, with Zoe sucking the nose, and Gracie the feet at the same time
Here is another one of Gracie sucking, with Lily, the Standard Poodle pup I used to have, chewing on her ear.
Yup, Weims sure are VERY STRANGE dogs!

aww! That is so cute! (and so true!)
I have to get Jacks pic uploaded and posted.
He carries these hideous dogs from petsmart around. LOL They're in that one commercial where the dog has to go and get a new one as his is torn to pieces... Its a long dog with an evil smile on its face LOL
Jack has one blue and one yellow. He prefers the blue one as thats the one he cuddles with (we have pics that I will have to upload and post), and when he's not playing or toting them around, he lyes them down next to eachother as if they need to keep one another company. (I'm thinking this is my hint to convince my husband to allow another weim in the house LOL) |

I thought Goose was the only weim who did that!! He has one of those fluffly/fleece-like crate liners that he drags all over the place with him. Then he makes himself comfy and sucks the corner! It's only good for a few washes until we need to go buy him a new "chewie." We've finally figured out to buy him the smallest size just for sucking.
Weims sure are some of the cutest most unusual dogs, aren't they?
I would show you some pictures, but I can't figure out how to post them in the reply Can anybody help with that? |

I thought the same thing when I got Zoe. I thought she was the strangest dog ever, when she would start sucking away on her then yellow duck. Including "kneading" with her paws, just like a nursing puppy! My Mom kept saying they must have taken Zoe away from her mother too soon, and not weaned her properly. I got Zoe at 10 weeks of age. I sure thought she was one of a kind!
Then, when Zoe was 8 months old, I brought Gracie home. Gracie was 8 weeks old. Well, Gracie walked right in, and lay down on the dog bed next to Zoe, and started sucking on the wing of the large duck that Zoe sucked the head of. But the thing is, Gracie never saw Zoe sucking first, when she did it. Gracie had been here in my house for all of 10 minutes when she started sucking on that duck! Pretty soon, I had the two of them sucking on different parts of that floppy duck, at the same time! Eventually, the duck fell apart. I found another duck that looked exactly like it, but they never wanted anything to do with it!
They went on to various other stuffed animals over the years.
I did not have internet back then, so had no connection with other Weim people. But as soon as I got internet, and joined my first Weim groups, the first thing I asked is if there were any other Weims that sucked like my two. And I quickly found out that this is very common among Weims!! Very much a Weim behavior. So much for mine being so unique
Here is a pic of Zoe (right) sucking on the duck's head, and puppy Gracie (left) sucking on the wing.
