Papilloma virus in dogs is warts in their mouth, lethargic, etc and is transmitted by mouth to mouth contact. It's not uncommon in puppies who's immune system isn't fully developed. There was an outbreak at his daycare and despite the fact that dogs were showing up with huge warts in and around their mouth they didn't deny them access or warn anyone that brings their puppy there. I'm now overly cautious about him catching anything there!
Heartworm is transmitted by moquitos. I know it's a stretch, but I'm now overly protective of him catching anything from other dogs. |
