Lucy got returned to the shelter Crying or Very sad she is a dominant girl and kept going after their submissive male.

Unless their is someone weim savvy that can work with an alpha female, she will need to be an only dog.

Damn it! I'm always amazed about how fast people are to return a dog!!! Shocked Shocked

If something isn't easy in the first 2 minutes that they bring her home, they bring them back! Mad

I wish I could take them all.....They really didn't give it a chance....her behavior was typical of a female weim but that's easy for me to say. I know how to handle the situation, not everyone does. And when I was going through it with Scout and Silkie, my heart ached for my boy.

But it did come down to letting her know that I was in charge, not her.

What kinda of info do you need? I honestly havent had any problem getting a hold of them. My biggest concern is the fact that Jasper has dominance issues also, and I fear that it could get ugly with two dominant pups in the house.

Well, I'm trying to e-mail them because I can't call during the day. I just want to know what they think about her temperament. For all we know, the people that took her just decided she was too much and didn't want to say they were just bringing her back..you never know.

I could have sworn that I got an email from a volunteer there that said she had shown no issues with other dogs. It sucks that you never know what to believe about a dog.

When I talked to Kay she said that she didnt think that Lucy had shown any aggresion towards the other dogs at the shelter. She said that Lucy had a lot of energy and with training you would be starting from scratch. Her owners chose to surrender her because their neighbors had called the police and filed complaints about Lucy barking 24/7. I think I would bark too if I was tied to an upside down truck bed my whole life.

I heard back from Barb at the shelter. They are working on the intake paperwork.

I think they are open on Saturdays. I am going to try to reach someone there early tomorrow.

I really want to help this pretty girl. Sound like Lucy just needs some socialization.

I need a weim farm.............
