Nena is doing well. Thanks for asking. Of course, she thinks because she is taking all these pills, she doesn't have to sleep on the dog futon with Gunther, she has to snuggle with mom and dad. |
Heh same here - since the diagnosis Rosie has slept in bed with us I'm ashamed to say - there goes that rule Oh, and when the pills finally do stop, I think she's going to feel slighted - she hears the pill jar and gets so excited because she knows she's getting wetfood and cheese! Silly weims |

He tested positive in March. After a month of doxycycline he still isn't much better. The RMSF left him with some heart disease and liver damage and some early arthritis (he's 3). It's very very very serious stuff.
I work for my vet. Our policy is that even if the dog tests positive for Lyme or Erlichia, unless they are showing symptoms we do not treat them for it. (Treatment is 28 days of doxycycline.) It's possible she was exposed to it, but not infected with it. An exposed dog carries the disease (that's how the ticks pick up lyme and what not) an infected dog comes down with actual symptoms (lethargy, bleeding, painful joints).
I vaccinate for it- I mean why not? It can't hurt.
Good luck! |
I'm lost here with what you are saying..you said you only vaccinate for rabies..
So where does the lymes disease vaccination come into this? |
