My dog has spots starting from head down. They look like rain spots. He is 9months old. They do not itch but his coloring went from gray to spotted grey. Has anyone ever seen this?

Most likely he is just shedding. But a friend of mine recently asked the same question and was told it was just shedding and it turned out to be ring worm. I would get that ruled out.

You usually see missing hair in a circle pattern with ringworm.

Haley spotted during her first summer with us and I remember being concerned about it at the time -- she was probably about 15 months old at the time. However, the spotting went away after a few weeks and it wasn't a problem. I haven't seen the "spotting" to the same extent since, but there is some noticeable shedding every summer.

tyra gets those once in a while. the first time it was the shampoo so we switched to johnson baby. and the second time was some kind of allergy, we gave her benadril and it went away. but it's always better to take them to the vet, just in case. they will scrub a little bit of sking and analyze it
