Thanks for your reply.
his poops are getting hard now... I only feed him kibble and some treats... nothing more.
he did poop a lot times when he was younger but since he's 12 weeks now I guess it was normal to poop less.
I don't think its territorial since he doesn't poop a lot outside yet we go for a walk and when we arrive home he poops inside
he completes his vaccinations tomorrow so we can start going to gardens next week and I think it will be easier to poop...
what do you suggest? here in Portugal I cant buy Canadaie... just Orijen (the same company of Acana). Should I try it?

| You mentioned paper... i would get rid of it and and make sure he goes outside a LOT! I know they tell you to be careful before they have all their shots but honestly i never had any paper down for Rocky and never, not even once did he go NR2 inside, even though for the fist 6 month he had constant diarrhea. I like Orijen much better than Canidae, i think its higher quality and grain and rice free so i would think he should do OK eating it. Just be careful that he is not poop marking inside. |

thanks.
perhaps I'll change it next bag I'll buy later this month.
this weekend we go to the beach (my parent's) so I'll be able to handle the poops and pees outside better and of course no marking.
i already removed the papers, the main difference is now he does somewhere all over the place... it's horrible.
since my husband arrives tomorrow, we go to our normal life again and we can handle the out poop and pee trips better then only me with the kids...
I hope this works out better now.
i realized the quantity of food recommended from Orijen VS Acana is a little less, but it is lot more expensive... 55€ vs 75€ (15 Kg vs 13,5 Kg).
Perhaps I'll give it a try though...
normally, how often should he poop? After wake up? And after Breakfast? and after Lunch and after dinner? This 4 times is normal? Too much? I'm completely lost on this "*poop*" issue...

| hahahahahaha, i know what you mean about being confused. I would say, but i am no expert, that twice a day is normal, once in a while its ok if he need to go potty 3 times, but i think 4+ its to many, but don't expect your pup to poop and pee right after he eats. That means his little body is not retaining all the nutrients from the food he is eating like it should. At 12 weeks old he is pooping in the morning what he ate the day before for breakfast. I know dog digestion is different from human, but i have noticed with Rocky that he will poop what he ate 24hrs ago, not unless he has tummy problems. Rocky goes once in the morning around 6 AM then another time around 5 PM, . There are times once a month or so that he goes 3 times. |
