She pointed! I am just giddy with excitement... this training pass I got is by far the best investment I've made yet.

Last night we did a pheasant track with her... she actually did the track near perfectly, then when she got to the pheasant she POINTED IT!!!! It was by no means a statuesque or picture perfect or lasting point, but by god she pointed so there is hope!

I think all the difference in the world has been made with going to the weekly training, and getting her off the stinky pen quail on to pigeons, chukar and now a real pheasant... We always knew her nose worked, she would go right to the quail, look at it and walk away... but her bird desire is off the charts as of last night; she was excited, tail up, jumping and running and loving it all... I can't wait to watch her progress further... to be continued Very Happy

Congratulations!! Way to go Luna!!

Isn't it fun seeing them do what they were meant to do. I find it so exciting!

WTG Luna! That is great, Mindy. I'd love to try it out with Holly but I'm not sure she'd be too interested in any birds. She ignores them completely in the yard, so I'm sure she'd embarrass me. LOL! She does point though, and she's very intense. But that is when we are playing fetch and she's waiting for me to throw the ball. Very Happy

That is wonderful! I am hoping to get Rocky involved sooner then latter.....we have already had several pointing moments with bird since there were so many of them at the old place we used to live. I actually think he would be very good at it.
