OK, I finally started stack training with Slade yesterday. Here are a few photos I got of him this afternoon.
I have an idea of which is my favorite / seems the most correct overall, and there are some where I like his front end, but not his hind, etc. but I'd like to hear from you guys.
Which of these appears to you to be the most correct, and why? And at that, even as the best of the options, what do you feel could use improvement? Any decent stack out of him at this point is pretty much a fluke, but I'd love something to build on.

He looks amazing. What perfection for the first time stacking. You both will be a pro in no time!! Isn't it fun making him be a pretty boy, hehe |

OMG big time. That's like 3 weeks old too! It was all blistered, and I swear my shoulders lost the 3 first layers of skin. Scary (and painful!) stuff! |

You should be proud Anne! That's fantastic! Birdy and beautiful!
Slade is looking great! #1 is my favorite. He's very willing and so showy, you are clearly doing something right to enhance that handsome fellow.
Are you going to handling class? Or hiring a pro? |

Thank you!
I haven't found a handling class near me, so I'm winging it, and we're learning on our own as we go along (eep!).
I'm not too sure about the showing bit - I'm sure I'll just shadow his breeder his first couple of shows, to learn the ropes, then have a crack at it myself. If I find I don't really take to it, or I'd rather just proudly observe, then I may hire a handler. The handler that showed Slade's sire to his championship, isn't too far away from me. |

I've been reading a great book about conformation training - it's called "Raising a Champion - A Beginner's Guide to Showing Dogs" and I've learned a lot...
I like pic #1 as well. He's gorgeous and looks like a natural!
From what I've read (since I've never actually showed before), his back legs look a little too extended in #3 and #5, and his neck's a bit too far out in #2.
You should try and find that book, if you don't already have it - it's American but it's got great info for first time handlers! |

I do have it. It is a good book.
Are you just reading it for fun, or are you thinking of showing Lincoln? |

I like #1, too. And check out that tailset! Sweet!
I'm not an expert, but it's easy to look at a stacked pic and see problems. When you're actually doing the stacking it's not so easy! He looks like he's not standing over his front legs quite enough in a few of them.
He's a good looking boy!

Yes, I think we're going to show him. He was the pick of the litter so I think our breeders would love it if they could show him (we'll see, maybe I'll get bitten by the bug and want to show him myself at some point).
I'm observing a conformation class on wednesdays (not with Lincoln) cause I'm a n00b. |

It's in Arva, which is north east of London I think at Country Club for Pets. My breeder, Liette is going with a couple of her dogs and another of Liette's puppy parents is going with their puppy from a previous litter. |

Yeah everything is a drive when you are in a small town. I've been driving to London every week for field stuff and I thought it would get annoying but I love it so much I'm not minding it. I'm just a bit tired the next day.
Why don't you try to contact some of the groups in your vicinity and see if any of their seasoned members live closer to you? Or check how often some of them meet. I know the some of the smaller ones around me only meet once a month for practice and a friend of mine pops in for guidance, encouragement and the "show" atmosphere. My geography might be way off but there is a group in Woodstock - Woodstock and District Canine Asssoc. and Norfolk - Norfolk Kennel and Obedience Club. |

Woodstock is still a bit of a drive, but I'm in Norfolk County, so maybe! |

The woman that wrote that book was one of Scout's breeders.
