Curious what everyone feeds their weims, post what you feed yours. Feel free to elaborate if you'd like to.
(ETA I can't fix the poll, but I put the "or other natura pet food" in the wrong place, it should be next to the Innova option. Sorry about that!) |

I feed California Natural for kibble, so I marked "other Natura food". Hope that doesn't mess up the results!
Kibble and yogurt in the morning. Real chicken and rice in the evening. They also get canned pumpkin, green beans, carrots, apples, peanut butter, chicken broth ice cubes, strawberries, bananas and any other great food/treat ideas I get from this site |

We feed Kirkland Chicken and Rice so I marked under grocery store brands. At least eight of the Weims, I know are doing well on this food. We tried the Lamb and Rice but the couple of foods with lamb we've tried seem to be too rich.
First 11 months were on MediCal Adolescent. Our breeder is a Purina breeder - Natural Turkey & Barley but he didn't do so well on it. |

I can't really choose just one since I rotate every time the bag is almost gone I buy a different brand. I've been rotating between Canidae, Innova, and Solid Gold but I'm looking for a couple of other foods to add to my rotation.
Holly always seems exited as she's eating "new" food! |

We feed our boy Orijen large breed puppy.
He also gets a spoonful of yogurt in his morning kibble and a spoonful of pumpkin in his evening kibble.
His treats (nom noms) include raw carrots, peanut butter (all natural), some type of potato and duck cookies (can't remember the name) and a raw, smoked beef bone to gnaw on every couple of weeks.
Oh, and the odd small child brave enough to wander into our yard. |

Slade is on Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy. He does well on it, so he'll stay on that, and possibly move up to Pro Plan Selects later, for as long as it agrees with him.
He has a nice coat, perfect weight, nice consistent poops, and a great appetite on Pro Plan (which is what he was started on at the breeder's), so on it he'll stay.
I'm of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" school of thought.
For treats, he gets lots of baby carrots, natural liver treats, natural beef + chicken treats, bits of cheese for teaching new things training-wise (loves cheese), Kong with kibble and honey in the crate (he freaking LOVES honey). Weiner slices or bacon are his mondo high-value treats, which will be mostly saved for the ring, when he starts showing. |

We feed IVET kibble from the vets office, and also both boys get yogurt, and lots of veggies and some fruit. Once in awhile, frozen green beans for a weird treat, peanut butter with their kong.

| I feed Pro Plan Performance during bird seasons and change over to Purina One the rest of the year. I have been experimenting with PMI Red Flannel Prime. So far I'm pretty impressed by it. Dogs look and feel just like they do on PPP and for a bonus the Prime is 1/2 the cost of ProPlan. |

| We're doing California Natural Lamb & Rice in the morning, raw in the evening. We just started raw and are most likely going to go all raw soon. After a year on just about every premium commericial food out there with mediocre results, we're giving this a try. Only been raw for 3 days, but I'm liking it more already!! |
